【Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 更新】

Debian 計劃宣佈了其穩定版本 Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 (代號 "Etch") 的第五次更新。 這次更新主要是修正一些穩定版中的安全性問題，以及一些嚴重問題的修正。 若是您平常有從 security.debian.org 更新的話，則不需要更新任何套件。大部分 security.debian.org 的更新都包含在此次更新中。 新的 CD 和 DVD 更新映像檔可以從老地方取得。

【Debian 成員關係】

與各團體成員經過多次討論之後，Joerg Jaspert [4]提出要改變參與 Debian 的方法。 改變的動機是要讓那些參與 Debian 計劃但不是維護套件的人 (如翻譯人員或文件寫手) 可以成為 Debian 的一員。他後來又替自己的提案[5]寫了 一些額外的註解。儘管如此，因為預見這些改變影響的範圍，一些開發人員提議[6] 停止這些改變直到他們透過普遍的認同。Peter Palfrader [7]要求 繼續嘗試解決這個問題。

【Lenny 中的 Firmware 以及該如何處理違反 DFSG 的套件】

【NEW queue 的狀態】

Aurelien Jarno [21]想知道目前 NEW queue (所有 被上傳的原始碼套件若會產生新的二元套件的話，會停留在此接受 ftp-master 的檢查) 是否有被處理。Joerg Jaspert [22]回答目前 NEW queue 的處理狀況的確不是很頻繁。 他解釋目前用來處理這個 queue 的軟體有些改變，會優先處理那些只新增新的二元套件的，而全新加入檔案庫的套件則否。

【archive.debian.org 的一些改變】

Joerg Jaspert [23]宣佈了一些 archive.debian.org 的改變，最重要的是 Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 "Sarge" 從正規的映像站移至 archive.debian.org 了。 [24]為了方便我們的映像網路， 刪除的過程分為幾個小塊，避免造成映像站一次刪除大量的檔案。他更 [25]指出那些非官方的 Debian GNU/Linux 3.1 "Sarge" AMD64 移植，也已經被移至 archive.debian.org。

【BTS link 需要新的維護者】
